IF YOU WERE QUIET DURING HARDSHIP UNDER NANA ADDO AND BAWUMIA, DON’T BE LOUD UNDER MAHAMA — Rev. Obofour

Famed religious leader and General overseer of the Anointed Palace Chapel (APC), Rev. Obofour, has warned against unwarranted assaults on John Dramani Mahama as he gets ready to take office as President.

During a recent service, Rev. Obofour spoke passionately to supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and critics of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), pleading with them to refrain from unfairly attacking Mahama’s presidency.

Rev. Obofour voiced worries about the hypocrisy in Ghanaian politics, highlighting the apparent absence of accountability expected from the departing administration.

He cautioned Ghanaians about the difficulties faced during the NPP’s time in power and emphasized the need to back Mahama’s initiatives to tackle the country’s problems.

“We must break the cycle where criticism only becomes loud when the NDC is in power,” he stated. “If you kept quiet during the hardships under Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia, don’t suddenly find your voice now.”

“Ghanaians have shown incredible resilience through difficult times. Let us give Mahama the room he needs to govern without unnecessary pressure,” he urged.
