IF YOUR CHURCH COLLAPSED THEN IT WAS NOT BUILT ON THE FOUNDATION OF JESUS – Diana Asamoah Jabs Cecilia Marfo

Ghanaian gospel musician, Diana Asamoah has addressed claims made by Cecilia Marfo, a colleague, that she shared some of the blame for the demise of her church.

Remember how Cecilia Marfo, in an interview with Joy Prime earlier in November, said that Diana Asamoah and Kennedy Agyapong, the MP for Assin Central, were to blame for her church’s demise? Her congregation had gone from having over 400 members to having less than 40.

She claimed that the conflict resulted from their perceptive remarks regarding her church and worship style.

Diana Asamoah addressed the charges in additional depth in an interview with Hitz FM’s Andy Dosty on November 30.

Citing biblical verses, she charged Cecilia Marfo with abandoning Christ’s teachings in her church, which led to its demise.

her emphasized that neither Kennedy Agyapong nor her are superhuman and cannot bring down any church.

She advised Cecilia Marfo to quit assigning blame and take ownership of her circumstances.

“I know the Bible says that if you want to build a church, if you don’t build it upon the word of God, it will not stand. Even Christ told the parable about the man who built their houses on different surfaces and told Peter “Upon this rock, I will build my church,” she said.

“Kennedy Agyapong and I cannot collapse someone’s church. Even when Covid came, many churches were still standing. If a church collapses, then it wasn’t built on the foundations of Jesus Christ in the first place,” she said.
