IGP DAMPARE NEEDS TO APOLOGIZE FOR FAILING GHANAIANS – Captain Smart Reacts To Arrest Of Galamsey Protestors

Captain Smart has urged the Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare, to issue an apology to the people of Ghana for not adequately safeguarding them.

He stated on his show on Onua TV at 6am that Dampare let down Ghanaians by allowing his officers to arrest and mistreat protestors.

Captain Smart stated that the protesters’ actions were justified and the fact that the IGP let his officers arrest them reveals his bias.

He gave instances of high-ranking Government officials getting away with serious crimes, while peaceful demonstrators protesting against illegal mining in Ghana were unjustly detained.

“Since when did it become a criminal offense to protest against bad things going on in the country? Look at the number of communities suffering as a result of the galamsey activities. If these protestors who are tired of the failed promises of the Government have decided to peacefully protest about it, you are arresting them. This only shows how bias you are. You are a total disappointment and you need to apologize to Ghana, Mr Dampare. You have failed Ghanaians!” Captain Smart bemoaned.
