President-elect John Dramani Mahama, in his Christmas address, urged Ghanaians to adopt the values of hope, unity, and renewal as the country gets ready for a more promising future.
He conveyed deep appreciation to the citizens of Ghana for giving him the chance to serve as president and commander-in-chief of the Ghana Armed Forces.
“As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and reflect on the values He exemplified, I wish to thank you, the good people of Ghana, for granting me the honour to serve you,” Mahama said, highlighting the significance of the holiday season as a moment for unity and collaboration towards common advancement and inclusiveness
Mahama reaffirmed his aspiration to create a thriving nation based on freedom, justice, accountability, and equal opportunities for everyone.
He also conveyed heartfelt holiday greetings, emphasizing the importance of thankfulness and teamwork in creating an improved Ghana.
Following a decisive win in the 2024 elections, where the ruling New Patriotic Party faced a significant defeat, Mahama is scheduled to be inaugurated on January 7, 2025, to commence his second presidential term.
