Ghanaian Afrobeats artiste, Camidoh, the artist behind the hit song “Sugarcane,” has expressed that he is not concerned about the fact that his other songs have not achieved the same level of success.
“Sugarcane,” released in 2021, gained widespread popularity, especially on TikTok, and topped charts globally.
While some critics have observed that his subsequent releases, including “Brown Skin Girl” ft Stonebwoy, haven’t matched the success of “Sugarcane,”.
Camidoh explained during an interview on the Daybreak Hitz Show that the circumstances surrounding the hit song were different, and he is not troubled by the comparison.
He attributed this phenomenon to “seasons” and explained that he is not as pressured as before.
“It won’t always be the same; there are different strategies, different plans, and different situations. Not every record would do what Sugarcane did; I’m not even bothered.
“Before, I used to think like that. I used to put a lot of pressure on myself, but sometimes you just have to understand that it’s seasons. and all records will not do like that,” he said.
