IN THE 8YRS OF AKUFO-ADDO NO OPPOSITION MP WAS HARASSED BY STATE SECURITY FOR DEMANDING PROBES – Ntim Fordjour

Rev Ntim Fordjour, a lawmaker from Assin South, accused the Mahama administration of becoming increasingly intolerant.

He noted that under President Akufo-Addo’s eight-year leadership, no opposition Member of Parliament has faced harassment from state security for requesting investigations in Parliament.

On Wednesday, April 9, officials from the National Intelligence Bureau tried to arrest Fordjour because of his comments about an aircraft carrying drugs.

The Government Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, explained that the situation escalated because Rev Fordjour did not cooperate with authorities.

“NIB officials are currently at Ntim Fordjour’s residence. They havean arrest warrant. He is refusing to cooperate. They have given him time to cooperate, failing which they will act,” he said.
