Spanish footballer of Ghanaian descent, Inaki Williams, has announced his decision to represent Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Inaki Williams had discussions about a potential nationality switch with the Ghana Football Association while on holiday in Ghana at the beginning of June with his younger brother Nico Williams.
After thinking about it through and carefully, the Athletic Bilbao striker has now decided to play for the Black Stars in their campaign to win a medal in this year’s Worl Cup slated for November.
According to Saddick Adams, Inaki Williams said in a new video “Today, a new challenge begins. From now on, I will defend Ghana’s T-shirt. With all my will whilst I give my best. I’m one of the Black Stars”
This is indeed some good news for Ghanaians and football fans in Ghana can express a sigh of relief knowing the Black Stars team is now enriched with quality and world-class players.
