Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu has criticized the behaviour of Lydia Alhassan, the current MP for Ayawaso West Wuguon.
Hon. Lydia and her team provided food and snacks to voters waiting in line yesterday during the special voting event.
As per several reports, food bags were also distributed to certain Electoral Commission officials and security personnel supervising the operation.
Lydia Alhassan’s team, who distributed the food, asserted that the voters were famished. This move enraged John Dumelo, the parliamentary candidate from the opposition National Democratic Congress for the constituency.
He denounced her behaviour, labelling it “foolish”. Kwaku Manu has joined in expressing the importance of sharing food.
Kwaku Manu stated that Lydia Alhassan distributing food at the voting centre demonstrated her lack of respect for the voters. He remarked that providing food to the voters to sway them into voting for her was a foolish tactic on her side.
