IT TOOK FADDA DICKSON’S EFFORT TO RESURRECT MCBROWN’S BRAND IN A COLLAPSED MOVIE INDUSTRY – Sally Mann

Entertainment analyst and event organizer, Sally Mann has detailed the immense efforts Despite Media invested in actress Nana Ama McBrown, who was groomed into being the host of United Showbiz at a time when the movie industry in Ghana had ‘collapsed’.

Sally commended individuals like Fadda Dickson, Managing Director of The Despite Media Group, in an interview on Power FM for providing the well-known actress with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Nonetheless, she criticized McBrown for abandoning her former employers by making unjustified claims after switching to Media General.

“Nana Ama was the face of several products but the core was acting which had collapsed. It took the special intervention of Fadda Dickson and the Despite Group to raise your image again as a person.

“We can’t dispute the fact that the platform brought a boost…in my opinion, the person who benefitted more was Nana Ama McBrown because, at the time, her acting career had collapsed, Kumawood had collapsed!” she exclaimed.

Sally Mann was quick to criticize McBrown for failing to mention the value she gained by working with Despite Media or give them credit in her success story.

In her submission, Sally pleaded with the media outlet to sever all relations with Nana Ama McBrown and scrap all future plans to collaborate with her.

“Why will you speak against the person who lifted you…her utterances after her move from Despite Media were unfortunate, especially her comments on never signing a contract,” she added.
