Controversial According to Mr. Logic, a Ghanaian entertainment guru, Obrafour made a poor business decision when he chose Sarkodie to succeed him as the king of rap.
Mr. Logic hinted that the popular rapper should have kept the title of rap champion rather than giving it to Sarkodie in an interview with the legendary broadcaster Andy Dosty for the Daybreak Hitz program that aired on Hitz FM.
He claimed that Obrafour, one of the top rappers in the country and an ongoing participant in the music business, shouldn’t have given up his position for Sarkodie while he was still actively involved in the business.
“Obrafour is still in the commercial business. Therefore, it was commercially wrong for him to pass the baton to Sarkodie”, he said.
Sarkodie was anointed the new king of rap music by Obrafour twelve years ago. He designated Sarkodie as his successor by giving him his golden rap crown, and the latter has since grown to become one of Africa’s most celebrated rappers.
The two gifted rappers collaborated on the 2012 song “Saa Okodie,” in which Obrafour once more hailed Sarkodie as the king of rap music.
Well, Mr. Logic, who has been in the music industry for more than twelve years, disagrees with Obrafour’s choice to pick Sarkodie as his successor.
