“BLACK AMERICANS SHOULD NOT GO BACK TO AFRICA, THE ECONOMY NOW IS BAD” – Davido Warns

Afrobeats sensation Davido has expressed his opinions on the increasing fascination African Americans have in moving to Africa.

In an interview on The Big Homies House podcast, Davido shared doubts due to the present difficulties in Africa, especially in Nigeria.

Davido replied to Big Homie Kodaq’s inquiry about African Americans wanting to go back to Africa, questioning, “Leave America and go where?” He elaborated on the economic difficulties and systemic issues affecting African countries.

Speaking from experience as someone raised in Nigeria after being born in Atlanta, Georgia, the artist remarked, “It’s not cool back home…The economy now is in shambles.”
