JAKE PAUL TO FIGHT ANTHONY JOSHUA IN HIGH-STAKES BOXING CLASH ON DECEMBER 19

In a stunning announcement, the YouTuber-turned-boxer will face the former two-time world heavyweight champion in an eight-round professional fight, streaming live on Netflix.

After months of speculation, a boxing match between social media sensation Jake Paul and former unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been officially confirmed for December 19.

The bout will take place at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, as an eight-round sanctioned heavyweight fight. Paul, who was originally scheduled to face Gervonta Davis before legal issues scuttled that fight, now steps up to face his most formidable opponent to date in Joshua.

“This isn’t an AI simulation. This is Judgment Day,” Paul declared in a statement. “When I beat Anthony Joshua, every doubt disappears, and no one can deny me the opportunity to fight for a world title.”

For Joshua, this marks his return to the ring following a knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in September. The British star dismissed any notion of taking the fight lightly, stating, “Jake or anyone can get this work. No mercy.” He also framed the event as a groundbreaking business move, adding, “I’m about to break the internet over Jake Paul’s face.”

The fight represents a massive risk for both men. For Paul, a victory would be the most significant of his boxing career and legitimize his claims of being a top-tier contender. For Joshua, a loss to an influencer-boxer would be a devastating blow to his legacy, while a dominant win would re-establish him as a major force in the sport and introduce him to a massive new audience.

The event will be streamed globally on Netflix, continuing the platform’s push into live sports entertainment. Paul last fought at heavyweight in a points win over Mike Tyson in November 2024.
