This is especially true during election years when candidates from all Ghanaian political parties make a lot of promises in an effort to win over voters.
However, in order to keep these politicians accountable, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has pleaded with Ghanaians not to be seduced by their rhetoric.
He advised Ghanaians to evaluate politicians on the basis of the work they had accomplished since being elected to office.
