Ghanaian social media figure based in the U.S., Afia Schwarzenegger, has criticized traders at Kantamanto, calling them the reason for their own difficulties.
In response to the recent blaze at the market that engulfed a significant part of the area and ruined numerous stalls and properties, Afia Schwar dismissed the accusations of sabotage leading to the fire.
Numerous individuals have claimed that political factors within the NDC or the NPP caused the fire. This is because of past similar fires that happen whenever there is a change in administration.
Nonetheless, Afia Schwar criticized the traders directly, disclosing that a lot of them utilize gas cylinders for cooking in their booths, which have been identified as a factor in the fire spreading extensively.
She mentioned that some utilize electric stoves and fail to care for them correctly, which she claimed allows for an easy fire outbreak at the market.
