Ghanaian broadcaster Nana Yaa Brefo has opened up about the emotional turmoil she endured due to persistent cyberbullying by controversial social commentator Kevin Taylor. In a video posted to Instagram on July 24, 2025, Brefo described how Taylor’s repeated reference to her as a man took a significant emotional toll, making her the target of ridicule and body shaming online.
“I have a personal issue with that young man. He has insulted my personality. God created me as a woman, yet he describes me as a man, which put me through emotional stress,” she recounted. Brefo further revealed that the online harassment extended to the comment sections of her social media posts, where netizens would mock her regardless of the content.
She cautioned Taylor and others to be mindful of their words, noting, “When something like this happens to someone else, people find it amusing, but when it happens to them, they become upset. I advise everyone to be more considerate.”
