Mr. Beautiful, a movie star, has declared that Kofi Kinaata, a highlife artiste, has accomplished what the late Michael Jackson could not as a musician.
Mr. Beautiful disclosed in an interview on Kastle FM in Cape Coast that Kofi Kinaata had won the VGMA Songwriter of the Year award four times, which is a world record.
He noted, “Kofi Kinaata, who sings in the Fante language, has done some works that have never occurred in our world.”
In an interview, he questioned Amansan Krakye whether “a single singer had ever been able to win songwriter of the year title on four separate times.
“Where in the world did it also happen that a person reached such a tremendous record that even Michael Jackson couldn’t achieve?” he boasted.
Kofi Kinaata is the only musician to have won the prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Songwriter of the Year award, four times, and his lyrics have lately been approved for literature students at KNUST.
