KYEI-MENSAH BONSU ANNOUNCES EXIT FROM PARLIAMENT AFTER 28 YEARS

Osei Mensah Bonsu, a member of parliament for the Suame constituency, has declared that he will not run for office again in the 2024 elections.

During an interview with Wontumi TV, the MP who serves as the majority leader of the ruling party announced this.

He claims that he wants to move because of his age and try something else.

This disclosure from Kyei-Bonsu came after he was responding to a question on whether or not Ghanaians would see him again in the 9th Parliament of Ghana.

Hon Osei Mensah stated categorically “I have said it clearly that, per my age, I will end it here and show my gratitude”.

He claims that he is under increasing pressure from various national and regional figures to run in the elections of 2024, but he has already made up his mind.

“People in my party both regional and national are calling and insisting that they need me but as at this time talking to you. I have spoken and made my stance clear”, he revealed.

“I know the pressure that has come on me, but we are not going to discuss it on the radio, we will talk about it later”, he noted.
