LATE KUMAWOOD ACTOR ABOAGYE WILLS ALL HIS PROPERTIES TO HIS MAID, LEAVING WIVES AND CHILDREN NOTHING
A bitter legal battle has erupted over the estate of the late Kumawood actor, King Aboagye Brenya, after a disputed will surfaced, allegedly leaving all his properties to his housemaid and disinheriting his entire family.

A massive family dispute over the estate of the late Kumawood actor, King Aboagye Brenya, has escalated into a full-blown legal war at a Kumasi High Court. The conflict centers on a will that reportedly bequeaths all the actor’s properties, including a school and a house, to his housemaid, Grace Yeboah, leaving his three wives and children with nothing.
The late actor, who passed away in September 2021, is now at the center of a four-year dispute that has torn his family apart. In a recent public outburst, one of his sons claimed that the will presented by Yeboah is a forgery and that she was never legally married to their father.
“After his death, they brought us a forged will… Most of the properties were given to the maid, and not even a single one was allocated to his children. That is why we have been in court for the past four years,” the son stated, alleging that Yeboah was merely a domestic worker in their father’s household.
However, Grace Yeboah has fiercely refuted these claims. She maintains that she was the actor’s lawfully wedded wife for 12 years before his death and that the will is legitimate. She also revealed that she was previously arrested and charged based on the family’s allegations of document forgery but was subsequently acquitted and discharged by a district court.
“If the Kumasi High Court rules in favour of the children, I won’t hesitate to give them the properties; however, until there is a ruling, I am not ready to give out the properties,” Yeboah stated, standing her ground.
The case continues to unfold, highlighting a tragic postscript to the life of the beloved actor and underscoring the complex and often painful nature of inheritance battles in Ghana.
