Ghanaian comedian and actor Michael Blackson, currently residing in the US, has urged his fellow Ghanaians through social media to get involved in the democratic process.

Famous for his humorous perspective on life, Blackson delivered a more solemn message, encouraging Ghanaians to participate in large numbers in the elections and emphasizing the significance of expressing their opinions.

“Let’s carefully consider who our next leader should be,” Blackson stated. “Make sure we go out and vote for a brighter future.”

Blackson thinks that if the economy becomes the main focus again, it could bring the nation back to its previous level of prosperity.

His urgent and hopeful words emphasize the need for a leader who can lead Ghana to prosperity.

The comedian also emphasized the major economic difficulties the nation has encountered, particularly following the COVID-19 outbreak. Similar to many countries, Ghana’s economy faced challenges due to the repercussions of the worldwide health crisis, grappling with rising prices, joblessness, and a decrease in economic expansion.

“Our economy has faced some tough times, and it’s time to bring Ghana back to the thriving place it was,” he remarked.

Blackson also made a heartfelt plea for peace, reminding Ghanaians to maintain the stability and unity for which the nation is known. “We have to keep the peace,” he urged, acknowledging Ghana’s reputation as one of the more stable and democratic countries in West Africa.

In recent years, Ghana has been hailed as a beacon of democracy and peaceful power transitions in a region often marked by political unrest.
