LILWIN APOLOGIZES TO AGYA KOO OVER DEROGATORY COMMENTS

Kumawood star and filmmaker Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, has issued a formal apology to veteran actor Agya Koo, following a series of comments that stirred controversy within the Ghanaian film industry.
In an exclusive interview with Papa Jay of Poleeno Multimedia, Lilwin clarified that his previous remarks such as “we don’t talk about old kings” and suggestions that Agya Koo is now limited to YouTube interviews and funeral performances, were intended as part of showbiz promotion, not as personal attacks.
Lilwin explained that the banter was orchestrated to hype his forthcoming film focused on the President of Burkina Faso. He acknowledged that the public spat has, in fact, increased Agya Koo’s social media engagement and visibility.
“I believe this is the best moment for Agya Koo to launch a new project or release a film. If he wishes, I am open to collaboration,” Lilwin said, emphasizing there is no animosity between them.
As a gesture of goodwill, Lilwin revealed plans to send a personal invitation to Agya Koo for the premiere of his new movie on August 2, 2025.
