LYDIA FORSON NOMINATED FOR AFRICA MOVIE ACADEMY AWARDS(AMAA) 2022

The organizers of the annual Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) have released the nominations list for the 2022 event.

Talented Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson has earned a nomination in the ‘Best Actress in a Supporting Role’ category in this year’s Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).

She earned the nomination for her role in the 2021 movie “Borga” produced by Alexander Wadouh, Elaine Niessner and Tommy Niessner.

Lydia Forson will battle it out with the likes of Sanke Makhoba (South Africa), Ijeoma Grace Agu (Nigeria), Siti Amina (Tanzania), Maryam Waziri (Nigeria), Dorcas Shola Fapson (Nigeria) Aand Nse Ikpe Etim (Nigeria) for the prestigious African film award.

The Africa Movie Academy Awards nominations were unveiled at a media event in Lagos, Nigeria.

Announcing her nominations to her fans across the globe on social media, Lydia Forson called for support saying; ‘Ghana Let’s go!!”

The 18th AMA Awards will take place in Lagos, Nigeria on October 30, 2022.

The feature film, Borga, which is a collaboration of Ghanaian and German creatives, was nominated for some major awards including the overall Best Film, Best Film in an African Language, Best Director, Achievement in Screenplay, Cinematography, Visual Effects, Screenplay and Production Design.
