“Many ticketholders who attended concerts on a weeknight had to get up early to go to work.”
Two Madonna fans are suing the US singer for being late by more than two hours for her Celebration tour last month in New York.
Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden are suing the promoter and venue for “false advertising, negligent misrepresentation, and unfair and deceptive trade practices”, according to court documents.
They state the shows on all three nights she was performing were meant to start at 8:30pm, but in each case it did not begin until more than two hours later – ending around 1am.
The court papers also say Madonna “has a long history of arriving and starting her concerts late, sometimes several hours late.”
The BBC has asked Madonna, Live Nation and the Barclays Center for comment.
