Ghanaian media personality and host of the morning show on Onua TV/Fm, Captain Smart has asserted that the departing NPP administration has left Ghana with minimal fuel reserves.
Captain Smart discussed on his show following the announcement by the Minister for Energy Designate, John Abdulai Jinapor, that the NPP government had left scant fuel for the country to utilize for power generation and that dumsor was imminent.
The NPP has refuted claims of maintaining insufficient fuel stock and cautioned the NDC to ensure the lights stay on without attributing blame to them.
Nonetheless, Captain Smart has verified the NDC’s assertion.
He stated that typically Presidents maintain a fuel stock of three months, but Mahama uniquely left six months’ worth of fuel reserves in 2016.
Nevertheless, the NPP is repaying him with malice by allowing more than 5 hours of fuel to remain in an effort to restore dumsor.
