MAHAMA’S ADMINISTRATION WILL DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY AND EFFICIENCY FROM APPOINTEES – Joyce Bawah Mogtari
Joyce Bawah Mogtari, special aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, has outlined the key principles that will guide Mahama’s leadership in his anticipated second term following his decisive electoral victory.
Speaking in an interview on Starr FM, Mogtari emphasized that Mahama’s administration will prioritize results-driven governance, with a strong focus on implementation, supervision, and monitoring. She stressed that the success of any presidency depends not only on its vision and policies but also on the competence and accountability of appointed officials.
“A president’s effectiveness can be undermined if the individuals assisting in governance are not properly supervised,” Mogtari remarked. “It’s essential to monitor appointees closely to ensure they are delivering results and using their skills for the country’s benefit.”
Mogtari made it clear that Mahama’s government would not hesitate to remove underperforming officials. “We are not in the business of tolerating inefficiency,” she said. “Anyone who fails to meet expectations will be held accountable.”
She contrasted this with what she described as lax standards under the current administration, particularly referencing Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Mogtari assured Ghanaians that Mahama’s leadership would uphold stricter standards to ensure public trust and efficient governance.
As Mahama prepares for his return to office, his team has pledged to foster a results-oriented government where accountability and performance are paramount. This, Mogtari believes, will set the tone for national progress and effective governance.
