MAHAMA’S ATTACKS ON OPINION LEADERS FUELED BY THE THOUGHT OF LOSING ELECTION 2024 – Bawumia

NPP flagbearer, Mahamudu Bawumia, believes that his major contender in the presidential election, John Dramani Mahama, is angered by the fact that he will lose the election.

Hence his decision to attack religious Leaders, and CSOs in the country.

“We are contesting for the presidency in this election. However, because John Mahama knows that he is losing the election, he is now attacking Chiefs, CSOs, Imams. He says they are hypocrites,” the Vice President said while addressing a charged crowd in the Greater Accra Region.

He also describes the NPP government as a foolish government. In every sector of the economy, we have done better than you. That is why I say if he believes in his track record, he should come and lets debate. He is afraid because he knows I speak with data,” he said.

John Dramani Mahama while campaigning in Accra could not fathom why Religious leaders, CSOs among others were singing praises of the current government.

To him, if the NDC was in power, the ills that are currently going on would have been condemned by religious leaders among others.

He mentioned that there would have been a coup if the ills happening under the current administration happened under the NDC.

The former President noticed that activists who have been silent to the ills in the country will find their voices very soon.

“I know NDC will win the 2024 elections. However, when we win, people who have toothaches and cannot speak against the ills of the current government will start to get their voices back. Hypocrisy is what is pulling this nation back. If we see the truth, if it is black, it is black, if it is white it is white, it doesn’t matter who is in office. We must be truthful at all times,” he said.
