Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has urged the people of Ghana to maintain John Dramani Mahama in his current position as a former president.
He believes Ghana requires a forward-thinking president, not one who will hold the country back.
Furthermore, the country in West Africa requires a president who has faith in potential rather than one who lacks faith in it.
The NPP leader was addressing a youth connect event when he revealed this information.
He stated that with him at the helm, Ghana will shine as a guiding light in Africa, demonstrating the significance of believing in possibilities to the world.
“We are going to elect a new President in December 2024. When I say a new president, I mean a new President and not a second-hand president. We are going to elect a president who will take us into the future, not a president who will take us back into the past.
We are looking forward; we are not going backwards. We want a president who thinks about possibilities, not impossibilities. We want Ghana to become a beacon for all African countries for all the world to see what can be done with possibilities. Former President Mahama is a former president; let’s maintain him as a former president,” he said.
