A man has been arrested by the Bono East Regional Police Command for reportedly operating an unauthorized clinic in Yeji Zongo, Bono East Region, for over ten years.
Police identified him as Hanson Osei, and on September 28, 2025, they picked him up after receiving information that led them to his home, where he had turned a chamber-and-hall space into a clinic.
A search at the location turned up a number of used clinical items, such as needles, malaria injection bottles, infusion rubber sachets, and other medical supplies, according to a police statement signed and released by ASP Appiah Danquah, the Bono East Regional Police Public Relations Officer.
During questioning, Osei claimed to have been in charge of the establishment for the previous eleven years, according to ASP Danquah.
Osei has now been arraigned before the Tuobodom District Court and remanded in detention to make a follow-up appearance on October 6, 2025, the police added.
