Media Personality Blakk Rasta has asserted that American rapper Meek Mill has more influence than 99% of artists in Ghana following his Jubilee House scandal.
Meek Mill has been trending since the morning after Ghanaians called him out for sharing a video of himself and his friends shooting a music video at the Jubilee House.
Blakk Rasta asserts that despite the widespread belief that Meek Mill’s career is over, he still has a greater impact in Ghana than 99% of other musicians.
“Some people call him a dead horse, others call him a rapper who has gone downhill. My brother, my sister in fact a dead lion is not as good as a living dog. Meek Mill is still a man who has a lot of influence. Meek Mill is only 25v years old. Meek Mill has a lot of life.
Dead as some people claim he is, he is more alive than 99% of musicians we have in this country in terms of patronage and in terms of influence.”
He continued “we live in a country where music only trends after we have gone naked on stage. We live in a country where people do not believe in live music. Everything is computerized and they claim this is the computer age.
We live in a country where music is so disrespected that musicians come on stage and do karaoke and there are people who clap for them. You expect your music to cross the borders of this country”.
“Sometimes I sit back and I blame the event organizers who book these people to come on stage and do the Karaoke. Let your fans do the Karaoke. Let them play back your music and sing along to the music, not you guys who sometimes even sing off-key.
