MEET TONYI SENAYA, THE MAN WHO DESIGNED THE FINANCE MINISTER’S BAG

Tonyi Senaya is a successful entrepreneur from Ghana.

He is the founder and CEO of Horseman Shoes, a top shoe-making company in the country.

Tonyi studied at Prempeh College in Kumasi and then went on to earn a degree in Sociology from the University of Ghana, Legon.

During his time at the university, he was also active as a student leader.

Tonyi began his journey in shoemaking in 2009 by apprenticing with a local shoemaker in Lapaz, Accra.

This hands-on experience was crucial for building his future in the footwear industry.

In 2010, driven by a vision to support locally made products, Tonyi founded Horseman Shoes.

The company is dedicated to crafting high-quality footwear.

Tonyi’s designs are known for combining traditional techniques with modern style.

By using materials sourced from Ghana and employing local artisans, Horseman Shoes not only produces quality shoes but also supports the local economy.

His innovative thinking and dedication have brought him many awards. In 2015, he was named the 9th most influential young person in Ghana, and in 2016, he was ranked 16th on the same list.
