Some military troops in Ashaiman appear to have taken the law into their own hands, marching from household to household and brutalizing locals, according to member of parliament Ernest Norgbey, who confirmed the incident to GhanaWeb.
This is in response to viral social media videos of the incident that were recorded by certain locals.
Some of these films show staff beating and punching people who were outside of their rooms.
The incident is claimed to have occurred at Official Town in Ashaiman at the crack of dawn on March 7, 2023.
When more information becomes available, it appears that the workers were seeking revenge for the death of a fellow employee who was killed nearby at the crack of dawn on March 4, 2023.
