According to popular American singer, songwriter and record label executive, Akon, having money brings more problems than it does benefits.
In a radio interview, the head of Konvict Music discussed this issue from his point of view and lamented the problems that come with money.
Money, in his view, doesn’t necessarily purchase happiness because it mostly depends on what makes an individual happy.
Those with money don’t have time, the legendary R&B great continued, since it causes you to lose yourself and distances you from your loved ones.
Akon went on to remark that it is hardly comforting when financial constraints prevent people from making time for their family.
Akon said, “Money brings you more problems than it brings comfort. You lose yourself. You can’t find time for your family. That’s no comfort.”
Akon is a Senegalese-American musician, music producer, and businessman. Following the release of “Locked Up,” the lead song from his debut album Trouble, and “Lonely,” the second single, he gained notoriety in 2004.
His real name is Aliaune Damala Badara Akon Thiam. Akon claims that he has six children with three women in an interview with Blender, all of whom he has great relationships with. He says he wishes to keep his family protected from the public eye.
