Mr Drew’s dream of meeting up with his icon Usher has materialised after the pair established a video call and vibed positively.
Previously on Saturday morning, Mr Drew had posted a request on social media asking followers to assist him to get in touch with Usher, who was in Ghana and recently had a performance at the Global Citizen Festival which he headlines.
Popular online celebrity and blogger Ronnie is Everywhere posted the moment the clean-shaven artist from Ghana interacted with Usher in a video call and it was all joy for Mr Drew deduced from his countenance.
As in the video below, their conversation was inaudible while the music of Mr Drew played in the background.
American was raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, after being born in Dallas, Texas, before migrating to Atlanta, Georgia.
His mother entered him in local singing contests when he was 12 years old, and this is how a music A&R from LaFace Records came to notice him.
Eight Grammy Distinctions, 34 ASCAP Awards, nine Soul Train Music Awards, and eight American Music Awards are just a few of the numerous honours and awards that Usher has received. Usher is the fifth-most honoured performer at the Billboard Music Trophies with 18 awards.
He is the owner of the record company Raymond-Braun Media Group (RBMG), a partnership with talent scout Scooter Braun that features Justin Bieber from Canada.
Usher is known for his humanitarian work in addition to his great music career. He founded the Usher’s New Look foundation.
