Actress Chichi Neblett, a Liberian who now resides in Ghana, claims that her ex-boyfriend used to physically abuse her because she was friends with footballer Emmanuel Adebayor from Togo and dancehall musician Shatta Wale from Ghana.
The actress claimed that although she was unsure of the specific nature of her ex-boyfriend’s problems, he allegedly often assaulted her physically.
She remembered the moment her ex-boyfriend beat her till she was bloody after learning she spoke to Shatta Wale on the phone a lot.
She claimed that things deteriorated once he found out she was in touch with the Togolese captain, Emmanuel Adebayor.
She says the assault she experienced this time landed her in the hospital.
Chichi Neblett realized that, for her own safety at this moment, she had to take her own road.
Chichi Neblett claimed that her unpleasant experience with young men helped her make the decision not to be in a romantic relationship with them.
“I don’t know what exactly was wrong with this boy. Maybe he was a bipolar patient because he used to beat me sha. I remember a time he caught me chatting with Shatta Wale. He really beat me up,” the Liberian actress opened up to blogger, ZionFelix.
“There was a time he saw me chatting with Adebayor, for that one, I woke at the Legon hospital, it was that time I knew I had to break up with this guy else I could die.” she added.
