MY FAMILY HAS NOT TAKEN A PESEWA FROM GHANA GOVERNMENT UNLAWFULLY – Freddie Blay To ORAL Team

Freddie Blay, the former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has refuted accusations of receiving a pesewa from the Ghanaian government.

Freddie Blay claims he is prepared to defend himself anywhere he is summoned since he has no hidden secrets.

His struggle has been the defamatory allegations Okudzeto Ablakwa has levelled against him and his family, which has led him to consider suing the legislator for the false claims made about him and his family.

“My family has not taken a pesewa from Ghana government unlawfully. We have not taken any government land unlawfully. We have not done anything and you can blame me for it.

If Okudzeto now is convinced that me I’ve done that then I’m a little careful about what ORAL wants to do,” he said in an interview with Accra-based Joy News.

“I’ve sued him for defamation, my two children have sued him also for defamation because we have not taken any government land and yet give that impression…

He organises people with placards and make it look as if me and my two sons have stolen government lands. He calls that to be state capture. That I will resist, that I want to tell you that he is shooting after shadows because we have not done that,” he explained.

On appearing before the ORAL Team, he said “If it is a proper organization and it is based on law and they even invite me that they found something and they want me to appear, Okudzeto, I will meet him. Unfortunately, he will be the chair, and if I’m not careful, I might be a little bit…

I will lose my temper with him because what he’s been saying—the defamation, the libellous things he’s been talking about and writing—may provoke me, and I won’t know what my reaction will be,” he stated.
