MY RELATIONSHIP WITH SHATTA WALE IS NOT GENUINE – Stonebwoy

Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known as Stonebwoy, the Ghanaian dancehall musician, has said that his deal with Shatta Wale to heal their differences was never sincere.

The “Bhim Nation” leader spoke about an unexpected incident that happened in 2019 at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards when he was named the year’s top reggae/dancehall artist. He described how he stood to defend himself against Shatta Wale and his crew, who stomped the stage in the middle of his speech on that particular day.

He implied, “Even if I wasn’t clever, I know there are two things to do: attempt to disturb it or try doing his sh*t.”

In the interview, Stonebwoy described his behavior that day as his “other side” and himself as someone who was raised on the streets.

They essentially saw the other side of me and realized I’m actually from the streets, and he said, “Nobody has the right to feel like you’re invisible; one thing led to another, and you know, nobody has the right to feel like you’re invisible.”

The 34-year-old singer emphatically explained why they both decided to settle their differences and further added that people cannot be forced to be someone they are not. “Because we had a whole lot of followers and people looking up to us, we managed to come to a nice consensus, but it’s never been genuine.”
