Sarah Adwoa Safo, the former Minister of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, has at last commented on her termination from her position as Minister of Gender.
Adwoa Sarfo thanked the president for providing her the chance to work as a minister in his administration in a letter dated August 5, 2022 that was posted online and addressed to the President in response to her dismissal.
The Dome-Kwabenya MP thinks that being fired will give her more time to devote to her constituents and to constituency development initiatives.
“It is with profound gratitude that I express utmost appreciation to you for the opportunity to serve as Minister in both terms of your government. It was an honour to serve at this all-important Ministry albeit for a short time.”
“Cognizant of my duties to the 75,000 constituents who elected me, this development is opportune and will afford me more time to concentrate on my Parliamentary responsibilities and Constituency engagements as well as consolidate the gains we have made as a government at the Constituency level in our quest to break the eight,” she said.
This statement from Adwoa Sarfo follows the president’s removal of the Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection on July 28, 2020, in response to several requests from the public and a ruling that she was unable to serve in parliament.
