Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin has defended throwing cash around at funeral homes and other events, claiming that doing so is a command from God but not for rituals.
Big Akwess and Oboy Siki, two fellow Kumawood performers, have criticized Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin for routinely throwing money at cemeteries, claiming that his behavior may have ritualistic overtones.
The well-known Kumawood actor refuted claims made by his coworkers during an exclusive interview on AMBASSADOR TV with Osei Kwadwo, which MyNewsGh.com watched.
According to him “I don’t have any juju because I have strong faith in God and God is powerful than any juju across the whole world”
“Ambassador, people don’t understand me that is why they are spreading falsehood about me. My action of spraying money is an order from God and there is nothing I can do about it” Lilwin explained.
“Some people chop money or daily meal is inside some people pockets, so when they get near you, it is their hope that you will give them something but since I can’t share the money to the crowd, the only option is to spray it”
Lilwin added “sometimes I spray the money just to disperse the crowd so that I can leave the place in peace. When I spray the money, the attention of the crowd will shift to fighting for the money so by the time they will realize, my car will be far away from them”
“I’m not bothered about what people say about me because God knows my heart is clean and those criticizing me don’t understand me. Even Jesus Christ, people spread false news about him”
