Mzbel, a female singer from Ghana, has spoken out about her marital status and the reasons she is still single at 40 years old.
Mzbel is one of the few famous women from Ghana who has never wed. The singer of “16 Years” claims that she does not support the institution of marriage.
Mzbel revealed she never wed because she is a “goddess” and cannot be under anyone in an interview with blogger Sammy Kay.
“I have never thought about marriage. I’m a goddess why should I marry? I’m the god, I make everything happen why would I want to be under somebody…and make it official to the whole world that this is the person I’m sleeping with and now I have to be submissive, that whole concept is a joke, no offense to anybody that is married,”
Mzbel has never been married, but she has been involved with a number of notable public individuals, including President John Mahama and former UT bank owner Kofi Amoabeng.
