At the recently concluded United Nations Summit on Climate Change in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, the talented young Ghanaian poet Nakeeyat Dramani Sam helped to greatly enhance Ghana’s reputation.
Parties to the UNFCCC attended the conference, also known as COP27, from what we can tell.
As usual, Nakeeyat’s stirring speech at the Informal Stocktaking Plenary left the recognized individuals at the summit speechless.
Standing ovations were given to her as she completed speaking due to how deeply her moving and articulate speech moved the audience.
The dignitaries at the summit could be seen standing up and praising her for the depth of her discourse.
