NANA AKUA ADDO ALLEGEDLY THREATENS NIGERIAN DESIGNER WITH N50M DEFAMATION LAWSUIT

After the event, Olivia took to social media to criticize Nana Akua Addo for failing to credit her on social media.

Olivia asserted that she was overlooked in acknowledgements despite her contributions.

Contrary to these assertions, Nana Akua Addo has clarified that the 3D garment, valued at $3,000, was conceptualized in Ghana and procured from China.

Nana Akua Addo stated that Olivia’s contribution to the outfit’s design was minor, emphasizing that the primary creative effort was undertaken by her Ghanaian designer, Yoli.

In the official statement from Nana Akua Addo’s attorneys, it was clarified that Olivia was presented with a choice between social media acknowledgement and financial remuneration. She selected the monetary option and received a complete payment of N400,000.

Therefore, her grievances regarding the absence of a tag are unfounded.

The letter also indicated that Ezinne’s name was initially included in the post, but she later requested its removal to avoid sharing credit.

In light of Olivia’s series of videos, Nana Akua Addo has directed her attorneys to demand an apology from Olivia. Failure to comply within the stipulated 48-hour window will result in court proceedings.

Furthermore, Nana Akua insists that Ezinne retract all social media content about her and issue an apology to be published in two national newspapers within the same timeframe.

Should Olivia not adhere to these demands, she will be liable for a compensation claim amounting to N50,000,000 for damages.
