If Asiedu Nketiah is elected party chairman, Koku Anyidoho, a former deputy general secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has warned of terrible implications for the party.
Anyidoho stated during an appearance on The Asaase Breakfast Show on Tuesday (December 13) that if Nketiah wins, the NDC could lose the 2024 election.
“I have said it, if NDC delegates make a mistake and for any reason Asiedu Nketiah becomes chairman of NDC, let’s forget about 2024 elections. We won’t win,” Anyidoho said.
“The revolution has already started in Cape Coast, and I am telling you that one person who is leaving office is Johnson Asiedu Nketiah; he has outlived his usefulness and he will leave office.”
“In Cape Coast some people took money, but I thank the women and youth within our rank and file for still holding fast to their beliefs and acting accordingly,” Anyidoho said.
Asiedu Nketiah organized the defeat of the NDC in the 2016 elections, according to information provided earlier by Mr. Anyidoho.
The late Dr. Kwabena Adjei, Kofi Portuphy, and Samuel Ofosu Ampofo were among the NDC Chairman he said Asiedu Nketia undermined.
Anyidoho vowed to expose Asiedu Nketia in a series of tweets, adding that the party will be buried on the day Asiedu Nketia was elected chairman of the NDC.
He also asked Asiedu Nketia “where is the land President Atta-Mills bought for the construction of the NDC school?”
