NDC’S CLAIM OF DISCOVERING BALLOT PAPERS BELONGING TO THE NPP IS FALSE – Miracles Aboagye

The Communications Director for the Bawumia Campaign Team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has emphatically denied assertions by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) regarding the finding of 50,000 ballot papers in the Ashanti Region. He characterized the NDC’s claims as untrue.

On 7 December, shortly before the polls closed, the NDC conducted a press conference where its National Organizer, Joseph Yamin, claimed that he found 50,000 ballot papers in a secluded room in the Ashanti Region.

The party suggested that the documents were associated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and asserted that the finding was an effort to manipulate the election results.

Responding to these allegations during a press conference later that day, Dennis Miracles Aboagye rejected the assertions as unfounded.

He stated that the site referred to by the NDC did not align with their descriptions, and no trustworthy proof had been offered to back up the assertion.

“Our checks indicate that the alleged ballot papers were not found at the location they mentioned. It is typical of the NDC to engage in such irresponsible behaviour, spreading falsehoods to cause unnecessary tension,” he said.

Miracles Aboagye further criticized the NDC for what he described as an orchestrated attempt to mislead the public. “It is baffling to witness the NDC continue with such actions. They held a press conference at around 4:30 pm, alleging that their Ashanti Regional Organizer had found 50,000 ballot papers hidden by the NPP. But their claims are completely false,” he added.
