NEW MEDIA ASSOCIATION OF GHANA LAUNCHES INAUGURAL NEW MEDIA GAMES TO UNITE DIGITAL CREATORS

The November 30 event at the University of Ghana Stadium aims to build community and collaboration among bloggers, influencers, and digital journalists through sports and networking.

The New Media Association of Ghana (NMAG) has announced the launch of the first-ever New Media Games, a landmark event designed to foster unity and collaboration within the country’s rapidly expanding digital content industry.

Scheduled for Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon, the event will bring together bloggers, content creators, influencers, and digital journalists for a day of sports, networking, and community building.

NMAG President Eugene Osafo-Nkansah explained that the Games were conceived to strengthen ties among practitioners who often work in isolation. “The New Media Games was created to strengthen unity and collaboration among practitioners, many of whom work independently,” he stated during the launch event.

The initiative aims to promote healthy competition, enhance member visibility, and create a strong community culture within Ghana’s digital landscape. Organizers also highlighted the event’s potential to facilitate brand engagement and partnerships that can support the long-term growth of the sector.

This year’s edition will feature a variety of activities including football matches, athletics, tug of war, and arm wrestling, alongside interactive sessions designed to encourage teamwork and professional networking.

Produced by RITE SPORTS SERVICES with support from corporate partners including Ayudahub Ltd, Rigworld Solutions, Peeva Beverages, Ekumfi Juice, Shaxi, and Special Ice, the 2025 New Media Games is expected to set a new standard for collaboration within Ghana’s digital ecosystem. A large turnout is anticipated, with the public and industry stakeholders invited to participate.
