‘NEXT NDC GOVT WILL REVIEW THE 1992 CONSTITUTION TO TACKLE EX-GRATIA PAYMENTS’ – Mahama

Ghanaians have received an assurance from John Dramani Mahama that the NDC government will address ex-gratia issues when it comes to power.

He contends that changes must be made to Ghana’s 1992 Constitution in order to address the rights of Article 71 officers.

According to the 2020 NDC candidate, Akufo-Addo has halted Ghana’s democratic transition.

The former president promised to keep reviewing the constitution if the NDC wins in 2024 during a meeting with NDC lawyers.

“The future NDC administration must execute President John Evans Atta Mills’s 1992 Constitution revision.

This review should modernize the judiciary and address ex-gratia payments and Article 71 emoluments, Mahama said.
