Ghanaian Dancehall musician, Stonebwoy has thrown his weight behind colleague, Shatta Wale in a recent post on social media concerning his outburst during his Freedom Concert where he ranted about Nigerians greedy nature.
Taking to his Instagram account, Stonebwoy conceded that Shatta Wale’s approach to communicating the issue was wrong, however, the subject matter was valid as he bemoans that Nigerians do not reciprocate the love and support it receives particularly from Ghana and this matter deserves critical attention.
He posited that Nigerians must consider that with their great power comes the responsibility of helping to forge a united African front by deliberately allowing music from the other African countries which pollinate Nigerian music to flourish on Nigerian platforms on local and international levels.
According to the ‘Bawasaba’ hitmaker, this approach will enable the African sound to dominate the world as one big family and as a global force. “That’s how we stand as one Africa” he added.
He urged Ghanaians home and abroad to emulate the Nigerian approach of prioritizing an agenda to invest in and support Ghanaian talent.
