Basketmouth, a well-known Nigerian comedian, has announced the dissolution of his twelve-year union with Elsie Okpocha.
Bright Okpocha, also known as Basketmouth, and his wife have been together for more than ten years. However, it appears that they did not get along, since they have decided to divorce.
Just a few hours earlier, Basketmouth announced the breakdown of their marriage on his Instagram page. He claims that it bothers him to make his private matter public, but that it is inescapable given his position as a public figure.
He acknowledged in the statement that he and his wife, Elsie, discussed the matter and ultimately decided to call it quits on their union.
“As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need….” part of his statement said.
