Nana Yaw Boakye, better known as MOG Music, a gospel artist from Ghana, stopped by Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz program on Friday to share some personal details about his life and drug misuse.
Following his encounter with Christ, he claims to have given up drinking and using marijuana. He also claims that alcohol is harmful to the liver, which led him to adopt the teetotalism lifestyle.
The Be Lifted singer said that his previous experiences taught him how dangerous drinking can be. He looked into the account of Noah, using it as evidence to support his point of view in the Bible.
The use of alcoholic beverages is harmful to Christians. Excess, according to the Bible, is harmful, and when you drink excessively, you end up harming your liver. You have to advise yourself if whatever you’re consuming is hurting your body…then you simply have to stop doing it, he said.
“I’m not aware of anybody who has consumed alcoholic beverages and has lived for more than 100 years. Noah drank too much drink, and his children were forced to see his nakedness. People who overindulge in alcohol put on a show for the public… I’m speaking from personal experience, therefore I know what I’m talking about…”
