NO GOSPEL SONG IN 2025 BEATS DIANA HAMILTON’S ‘AHA YE’— Arnold Asamoah Baidoo

Ghanaian entertainment pundit and journalist Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has declared that no gospel song released in 2025 surpasses Diana Hamilton’s “Aha Ye.”

Speaking during an interview on the Hitz Praise Zone on HitzFM, hosted by Nii Noi on Sunday, March 1, Baidoo, while acknowledging the works of other gospel artistes and praising the impressive promotional efforts and teamwork behind some of those projects, said that Aha Ye stands in a league of its own and no song beats it.

“Piesie had one of the biggest songs. I wouldn’t deny that. She put in the work, the kind of PR machinery that she attached to the song. Incredible big ups to her, big ups to her husband, big ups to the entire team.  But nothing beats Aha Ye in the gospel fraternity,’ he said

He also stressed that gospel music operates with a different purpose and mandate, one that goes beyond awards and chart competition.

“At the end of the day, awards are not what we are looking for in the gospel fraternity. There’s a bigger goal,” he stated.

He highlighted the musical depth and spiritual weight of the song, pointing to the collaboration with gospel legend Elder Mireku, whose subtle delivery, Baidoo noted, carries a powerful anointing.

Baidoo also praised the song’s unique South African-inspired sound, describing it as chilling and spiritually stirring.

“When you hear the South African beat, doesn’t it give you chills? You are telling me that in a gospel song, again, no disrespect, anything beats Aha Ye? No way,” he added.

He concluded by reiterating that within the 2025 year under review, Aha Ye remains unmatched in impact, composition, and spiritual resonance.
