Reigning VGMA ‘Artiste of the Year’ KiDi claims all the collaborations with other artists, claims, were done for free, but going forward, the story will be different.
The A-list singer, who is one of the most powerful artists of the New School alongside labelmate Kuame Eugene, recently stated in a Twitter Space that he will charge for collaborations.
The prolific hitmaker claimed during an interview with Olele Salvador of Ghana Weekend that the nation’s current economic suffering had influenced his final decision.
He was keen to point out that, as required by copyright regulations, even though he doesn’t get paid for features, he always retains ownership of the song’s earnings.
