Former UK Ambassador to Ghana, H.E Jon Benjamin, has denounced Nana Akufo-Addo’s choice to construct a statue of himself in Sekondi.
In a tweet responding to the news of the vandalized statue, Benjamin opposed the notion of constructing Akufo-Addo’s statue while he remained in office.
Indeed, the ambassador remarked that no individual ought to have a statue built while alive, let alone during their tenure.
He tweeted: “Nobody should ever put up a statue of themselves while still alive, let alone while still in office,”
